Any time I decide to go out and shoot, whether it be for a shoot or just because I want to capture a few shots, my goal is to tell a story with those images. Photos aren’t just a colorful/colorless image on a screen, they are a visual story.

My name is Chai Chapman Jr, and I am a photographer based in South Louisiana. I am open to any type of photography you would like done as a client. I’ve done headshots, portraits, maternity, family photography, children’s photography, weddings, events, and more. Lets set up your booking today!
Getting to know Chai.
I grew up in a very small town way at the bottom of Louisiana called Gibson. Gibson is where I went to school, made life-long friends, got my first job, and found my passion for creating art with the world around me. Going into middle school, I got into the band, where I figured out that music is and will always be a huge factor in my life. Music is an outburst of the soul, as well as a work of art. Art is all around us in all different forms. I carried music throughout all of my years of grade school as well as my five years in college.
Why photography?
College.
College is “where you find yourself”, and I most definitely found myself. I picked up a camera for the first time during my freshman year of college and instantly felt the urge to create art on a whole different level. For my first “shoot”, I took my camera out to a campground while I was camping and captured the life of the campers that were there. I sent a few friends some of the shots I captured and their reactions to the shots were priceless. At that moment, I felt like creating art through the lens of my camera was officially my calling.
I now bring my camera everywhere I go to capture life as it comes to me while creating art in the process.
